Competition against Samsung and Apple, taken up by Huawei

Analysts in the year, 2015 have been constantly highlighting the fact that Huawei technologies, is successfully mounting the ladder of growth and fame. This progressing brand is on its way to become the fastest growing brand this year, with its booming sales and challenging the big technology giants such as Samsung and Apple.

Smartphone shipments achieved in Q3 by Huawei have been tremendously incredible for the growth of the company. Huawei, the third largest smart phone vendor in the world, has stated that its third-quarter unit shipments have increased 63 % y-o-y to 24 million handsets. Huawei’s image in the high-end smart phone market has also been glorified with the launch of Mate S, this particularly shows that Huawei wants to change its set image of the budget friendly manufacturer.

The figures of unit shipments recorded during the period of July till September, indicate that Huawei will move to 100 million smart phone sales this year, which would be 33% more than recorded in the previous year. This outstanding growth forecast is certainly disturbing for the rival companies.

According to the stats and figures announced by the company, Q3 shipments in China have gone up by 81 percent, nearly the double of it in Europe. Huawei is all set on its track to meet its target of 100 million unit shipments this year and according to the analysts, Huawei’s 33% growth boost in 2015 would beat rival’s growths. According to Canalys, with the smart phone market share of $7 billion in the second quarter, which is about 1/5th of Apple and Samsung, Huawei remains at a distant third. But still, the strong relations of Huawei with telecom carriers, at home and abroad, as well as the brand’s shifting to high-end premium models, are aiding Huawei to strengthen its positions among the top three tech giants.

Huawei has announced that its third quarter results have climbed tremendously, in comparison to the previous year and about a third of the Q3 shipments, were of mid- to high-end smart phones. These stated figures are indeed pointing towards a promising future for this technology based company. The benchmarks set by Huawei so far, have taken the company to a completely new level and even higher achievements are expected from Huawei, by all the technology enthusiasts and geeks.

Huawei Smart Watch: the most luxurious Android watch till date

First ever smart watch manufactured by a leading technology brand, Huawei, features out of the world  display and cutting edge add-ons. Huawei has marked 2015 with its endless series of triumphs the most prominent being beating Microsoft and becoming world’s third biggest smart phone vendor. Now, Huawei has stepped-in the smart watch game as well. With the launch of Huawei’s luxurious smart watch at IFA, Berlin, this idea has been radiated to the rival giants  now they should watch out. The ground breaking technologies incorporated in the extraordinary Huawei smart watch, will undoubtedly take the brand to the heights of ultimate success in terms of sales and brand fame.

Huawei’s Android powered timepiece has been made available for the customers at a fairly high price range, although Huawei has got a reputation of delivering mobile phones at quite affordable prices. And that starts at $349. This is a round stainless steel body, exuding delicate and stylish feel. The HD 1.4 inches AMOLED display of this dazzling smart watch is the star of the show, with 400x400 pixel, 286 ppi, highest resolution to be possessed by any Android smart watch till date. Huawei has given its smart watch a bright and colorful display which will attracts its users to glance repeatedly at the device with beaming joy. Huawei’s smart watch screen has been protected by Sapphire crystal, which is superbly resistant to scratches. The display screen of this amazing watch extends from one corner of the round exterior to another without giving the, not so attractive, small black bar at the bottom, which is exceptionally great as it  gives a more enhanced view on the screen. But something which draws down our excitement is that to adjust the brightness of the screen user would have to go two menus deep in the OS, as this Android watch does not have an ambient light sensor.

Like many other smart watches Huawei’s smart watch offers numerous exciting features. The users can also choose from a premium range of casings straps offered with the watch. The stainless steel and leather straps, fitting the mood or the occasion. Users can choose from these two straps, whether to carry a luxurious steel one or the leather one when going for cardio.
The Huawei smart watch has been magnificently manufactured to become a perfect fitness companion. This excellent watch keeps users active and thriving in the direction of their fitness goals. It goes everywhere with the user, offering a smart and insightful perspective of his activities. High accuracy motion sensor integrated in this watch keeps the track of the user’s activities and record when he is climbing, running or walking.

The Android OS in this watch keeps the user up to date with his priority in a matter of a glance, helping with instant notifications, available to him with a single swipe of a finger. The user can control the music he is listening to, while exercising with utter convenience, use his favorite apps and enhance his efficacy with Google now. Moreover, Huawei’s smart watch is compatible with both Android and iOS powered smart phones.

Another impressive feature of the Huawei smart watch is that after a few seconds of inactivity the display screen gets slightly dimmed, a lite mode of the selected style. Although, this feature would definitely impact battery life, but the user wouldn’t be forced to raise the watch to his face, to peak at the time. The battery of Huawei watch lasts up to two days, giving enough time to get full days tasks done efficiently and on time. Huawei’s magnetic charging pack which attaches to the back of the watch with a soft click, recharges the battery up to 85% in a 45 minutes, and in 90 minutes you will get it fully charged. This is indeed good news for users and the extra battery pack available with the watch is also a nice perk.

With the wide range of Android watches available in the market, to stand out among the rest, a brand needs to focus on every single trait of its product. The style, features, battery and most importantly price. Huawei’s smart watch significantly serves well with its excellent display than its competitors, but still a lot more can be improved in the future Huawei smart watches.

Comparison between Huawei’s Honor 7 & Samsung Galaxy S6

Honor 7 has been launched by Huawei, recently. It’s an excellent quality smart phone, available at the price which is slightly outside the mid-range, but given the exceptional features integrated in this smart device, Honor 7 is definitely an excellent choice. This smart phone has been manufactured with an excellent quality camera, a flawless fingerprint scanner and super fast processor with luminous screen and the amazing “Smart Key”. The design is also commendable. Let’s have a detailed comparison of this smart phone with Samsung Galaxy S6, which offers certain features quite at par with Honor 7 but with a big difference in money terms.

Structure & Design:
Talking about the design, Samsung has certainly crafted S6 with great perfection and style. The body is compact, offers a firm grip and is a beauty to look at. But when you look at what Huawei has offered through its Honor creation, it would definitely leave you in an awe. Huawei has given this latest Honor smart phone, a superbly attractive design. The exterior has been given an ergonomic structure so that it can be handled easily. The back of the phone is slightly curved, allowing stronger grip. Honor 7 has full touch screen on its front, whereas S6 has the definitive metal ringed home button at the bottom of its façade.

Honor 7’s right side has the power and volume keys, whereas on the left it has the SIM slot above the unique “Smart Key”. In S6, the power with card slot in on right and the volume keys on the left. Both these smart phones have their own dynamic, unique appearance, which would tempt the customers, obviously, but the fact the Honor smart phone is posing a competition to Galaxy S6 is undeniable, proven by the price difference and availability if certain superior great features.

Huawei has given Honor 7 an advanced and foolproof fingerprint scanner, at the back, just below the camera. Although the fingerprint scanner feature, for security purpose, is also available in S6 but Huawei has given Honor 7’s scanner some unconventional functions as well, like checking notifications, swiping among snaps etc.

Display Screen:
The display screen of Honor 7 is 5.2 inches large. It is IPS-Neo capacitive touch screen with 1920x1080 resolution (424 ppi). The screen has been secured with Corning Gorilla glass to make to make it strong. On the other hand, Samsung has given S6 the screen which is 5.1 inches in size. It is Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen, also covered by the Corning Gorilla glass, having 1440x2560 resolutions (577 ppi). Samsung has created this screen with utter perfection. It can be said that S6 carries the brightest, vivid and clear screen manufactured till date but Huawei has also posed a competition here, with the size of Honor 7’s screen which is slightly larger than S6 and made with adequate resolution, to produce lively and pleasant images, videos etc.

Another important point worth mentioning here is the screen to body ratio, in Honor 7 is 72.4 % and in S6 its 70.7%, which means the music, movies, videos etc viewing experience offered through Honor 7 is more enlarged than S6.

OS, Processor & Storage:
These operating system integrated in these smart phones is Android lollipop 5.0 in Honor 7 and lollipop 5.0.2 in S6. Here again Huawei has given its prodigy the best of Android OS to make it a strong competition for the rivals. Huawei has given Honor 7 its latest Emotion 3.1 UI and Samsung has equipped S6 with its Touch Wiz UI, both the UIs manufactured by the respective companies, perform significantly well with the OS and deliver ultra smooth and unhindered performance.

The processor fitted in Honor 7 is also pretty efficient, its 2.2 GHz Octa-core processor with Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 935 chipset, on the other hand Samsung’s S6 has 2.1 GHz Quad-core processor with its own Exynos 7420 chipset. With the aforementioned super performing processors both the smart phones offer seamless usage experience.
Huawei has designed its Honor 7 with effective Thermal Design, which would resist temperature increase and prevent the device from getting heated thus offering longer functional hours, especially for heavy users and gamers.

The RAMs in these two smart phones is of 3GB. Whereas ROM in Honor 7 is of 16GB which can be expanded up to 128 GB with MicroSDCard. Samsung has produced S6 with either 32/64/128 GB ROM and the slot for MicroSDcard isn’t available in S6 but that would not be a problem because of the large internal storage capacity.

Camera:
Honestly, the camera quality is the game changer for Honor 7. In comparison to S6, Honor 7 possesses a great, highly efficient and super pixeled camera. Huawei has bestowed Honor 7 with a mega 20 MP rear and 8MP front camera, but S6 doesn’t impress in comparison, with its 16 MP back and 5 MP front cameras. Though S6 does take the lead with its high resolution screen but Honor 7 beats it again with its mighty photography capability. The camera pixel of Honor 7, add another cherry on the cake for Huawei. With the Huawei’s latest addition in its Honor smart phone, the Smart Key, photo capturing would become a completely new experience. This Smart key feature is certainly something which is a lesson for other smart phone manufacturers, to think out of the box and create things never seen before.

Battery:
Now the power talk. Huawei has incorporated a 3100 mAh battery in Honor 7 whereas Samsung has given S6 a 2550 mAh battery. Need we say more? With all the amazing and exciting features to enjoy in a smart phone, the power of the phone must last longer and here Huawei has exceptional battery life to offer in its Honor 7 smart phone. Honor 7 with its heat resisting design and more powered battery would offer longer hours of fun and entertainment in comparison to S6.

Pricing:
To conclude, although Galaxy S6 is a ravishing beauty with the superb screen, but Huawei does project a tough competitor with the launch of its Honor 7. These smart phones are 4G/LTE, Samsung S6 is single SIM and Honor 7 is dual SIM. S6 is available in a price range of 55,000/- (currently) whereas customers can get almost all the similar features at a far less price i.e. Rs 45,899/-, through Honor 7.

We are not here to make the choice for you, but just to give you something to think about. Next time, you want to change your phone, we are sure, after reading this comparison, you would certainly prefer Huawei smart phones.

Pakistan's Millennials Prefer Buying Over Renting

Recent research conducted by Lamudi, Pakistan’s best online property portal, indicates that 62 percent of millennial property hunters are interested in buying instead of renting. This should be a wake-up call for anyone involved in the nation’s real estate sector. Millennials are well-informed and are equipped with tools that make investing in property very easy for them. As a result, many are no longer satisfied with simply renting.

Traditionally, the 18-35 age group is more interested in renting rather than buying due to a variety of factors, including lack of financial independence, job prospects and, most importantly, information. Millennials, those born between 1980 and 1997, are breaking with this tradition. Their familiarity with technology and their access to information via the Internet and mobile apps are driving their interest in buying, almost to the same degree as older age groups.

Saad Arshed, Lamudi Pakistan’s Country Director, responded to the data when questioned about the continuing importance of millennials in the real estate sector.

“The increasing power and importance of the millennial generation is not just a momentary trend. It is a sign of the times, and it is also a sign of what is to come. Technology and the Internet make up a large portion of the real estate sector’s future in Pakistan. Although most of our customers still come to us via desktop computers, more and more are reaching us through mobile apps. The fact that millennials prefer buying over renting stands to change the entire industry.”

The break with tradition is also partly due to Pakistan’s stellar economic growth, especially in the tech and real estate sectors. Millennials are becoming financially independent more quickly and are able to think about investing earlier than preceding generations.

However, the percentage of Lamudi Pakistan’s property hunters aged over 35 who prefer to buy instead of rent is 78 percent. From this point of view, older generations seem to understand the value of investing in real estate more than their younger counterparts do.

Still, taking into consideration that millennials make up more than 65 percent of the site’s traffic, it is clear that this age group is a force to be reckoned with.

Arshed concluded that, “Although there are many exceptions, millennials are the age group most comfortable with mobile technology, and it makes sense that their influence is growing. Their preference for buying is a data point that no technology or real estate find should ignore.”

Comparison between Huawei Y6 & Samsung Galaxy Core Prime

In November, 2015 Huawei has launched incredible smart phones of all ranges, low to mid to high range. These smart phones are available at competitive prices and the features wrapped in them are worth it. Recently launched, mid ranged smart phone of Huawei, Y6 possesses unique stylish design. This 3G smart phone, brings with it a consortium of amazing features, superbly functional with the help of latest Android lollipop operating system, which is supported by Huawei’s very own user friendly EMUI 3.1.

This smart phone, since its launch has proven to be a tough competition to rival competitor mid range smart phones, like Samsung galaxy core prime. Huawei’s Y6 doesn’t only features a big screen in comparison to Core prime, it has abundant other extraordinary specs as well, available in the same price range.
Let’s explore and compare these two devices, i.e. Y6 and Core Prime, simultaneously.

Structure & Design:
Huawei has crafted Y6 with utter uniqueness and style, Core prime on the other hand does also carry a slim and sleek body, but it looks as if we have seen it before. Whereas, Huawei has given Y6 a beautifully patterned body which has compact, mid frame and micro pattern on both the sides of the device. In terms of weight, Y6 does weigh slightly more than core prime, Y6 is of 155g whereas core prime is of 138g.

Y6’s back cover carries the primary camera on the top right corner with flash light beneath it and the front camera is fitted adjacent to the ear piece. In core prime, the rear camera is in the top middle of the back with a flashlight to its one side and the speakers on the other. Huawei Y6 has got an edge over core prime here. With Y6’s speakers at the bottom, the sound produced by it, particularly during calls, would be louder and clearer than Core prime, especially when the device would be placed on a table etc. Both these smart phones carry full touch screen. The core prime carries its power on/off key on its right side and volume keys on the left. Whereas in Y6, both the power and volume keys are on the right panel of the smart phone.

Display Screen:
The façade smart phones play a major role in the fine execution of the working of its inner machinery. Huawei has given Y6 a 5.0 inch large, high definition, IPS full touch screen and Samsung’s Core prime has a 4.5 inch large, WGVA, full touch screen to flaunt. The screen resolutions of Y6 are 1280X720 with 294ppi whereas Core prime possesses 480X800 resolutions with 207ppi, which means the images, videos; etc exhibited on the screen of Y6 would certainly be more colorful, vivid and lively. Huawei has designed Y6 with large screen-to-body ratio, which would deliver to its users more enlarged viewing experience. Huawei has developed the screen with an edgeless design, making the screen, appear as if it is merged with the BM area, on close observation.

OS, Processor & Storage:
Y6 has been packed with the latest Android, v5. 1 lollipop operating system, whereas core prime has Android 4.4 KitKat OS. Additional to the 5.1 lollipop, Y6 also carries Huawei’s latest Emotion 3.1 user interface which has been now made more advanced and user friendly by the developers, your device’s themes etc can be customized according to your preference and used with perfect ease.

The CPU integrated in Y6 is Qualcomm MSM 8909, 1.1 GHz Quad core, whereas in Core prime is Qualcomm MSM 8916 1.2 GHz Quad core. These powerful processors of these smart phones are supported by 1 GB RAM and 8 GB ROM, in both these smart phones whereas the Y6’s memory can be upgraded to 32 GB and in Core prime it can be upgraded to 64 GB, with MicroSDcard. Both these smart phones have very useful apps already stored in them and even more can be downloaded from Google store and the performance of these devices are also fairly at par with each other.

Camera:
Now let’s talk about the camera of these two smart phones. Huawei has equipped Y6 with 8MP rear camera and 2MP front camera, whereas, Core prime has 5MP rear and 2MP front. Now here again, Y6 takes the lead by providing a more powerful camera than core prime, in the same price range. This thing is of importance because many users, while searching among smart phones, prefer big screen and powerful camera is economical price range, and both these factors have been taken care of by Huawei, through its Y6 smart phone. Both these smart phones carry a flashlight with their cameras, and pictures can be captured in the dark or in low light. Huawei has enabled its prodigy Y6 to capture fairly amazing and bright pictures and videos, which can be further enhanced with the help of features like perfect Selfie and beautification feature etc.

Battery:
Now the power talk, Huawei’s Y6 has been produced with a more power packed battery than core prime. Huawei has fitted a 2200 mAh battery in Y6 whereas Core prime has a 2000 mAh battery.  This certainly means that Y6 would last longer and perform much better than core prime. With the help of the power saving technology, Y6 would be charged more speedily and won’t bug you for repeated charging, during a day full of work. So, here again points are added in Huawei Y6’s favor because the energy house of a phone is not something which can be looked over while purchasing a smart phone.

Pricing:
Both these 3G, Dual SIM smart phones lie in the same price range, Huawei’s Y6 is available for Rs. 14, 900 and Rs. 14,500. Although core prime is slightly lower in price than Y6 but the big, wonderfully colored screen, a powerful battery and super quality camera of Y6 in comparison to Core prime cannot be ignored.

So, if you are looking to purchase a mid range smart phone with enlarged display and long lasting performance, than Y6 is the choice for you.

Pakistan’s best real estate website Lamudi.pk has released an updated version of its innovative Android app. The update features extensive improvements to its user interface with a major focus on the map experience.

The addition of maps means increased usability and functionality, where users can quickly and easily add and remove properties to their favorites list directly from the map. They can also change search criteria without leaving the map screen.

This latest version of the Android app is a great improvement on its predecessor but we are just at the beginning. The app has been through several versions, many of which included a map feature. The latest update is an indication of the forward direction of both the app and the company itself.

The former one charged up to 68% in two minutes and the latter one can be charged up to 48% in five minutes. Upon said charging power, these batteries would offer 10 hours of calls on Huawei phones.

It has not yet been announced by Huawei that when they would actually launch these super charging batteries, but yes, they do say that these lithium-ion batteries would charge ten times more speedily than the regular ones. They can reach up to 50% with merely 5 minutes plug in time.

These batteries have been built in Watt lab, which is a part of Huawei’s Central Research Institute in China. They do not cause any decrease in long-term battery life or energy density because of the increased charging rate.

The officials at Huawei have said that, “Huawei is confident that this breakthrough in quick charging batteries would lead to a revolution in electronic devices, especially with regard to mobile phones, electric vehicles, mobile power supplies and wearable devices. Soon, we will all be able to charge our batteries to full power in the time it takes to grab a coffee!”

It has not yet been revealed by Huawei that how soon, these batteries will make their way in the market. But it has been pointed out by tech critics that it might be a while before these batteries are put to commercial use because of the bulky accessories, shown by Huawei in the videos, required to charge the removable battery. Still, no matter when it comes out, this definitely is a groundbreaking step by Huawei, which will completely revolutionize the future technology scenarios.

Comparison between Huawei’s Honor 4X & Samsung’s A3

All the prodigies of the Honor series by Huawei launched till date have acclaimed worldwide sky rocketing sales. Their design’s smooth elegance and richness of features has been very well received by the smart phone customers, which is quite evident from the Honor smart phones global reviews.
Utilizing the expertise of the researchers and developers, Huawei has produced such smart phones which possess state of the art technology in them and their exterior covers have been so finely crafted that the instantly capture the eye of the customers.

Recently, Huawei has introduced a new member in the Honor series, Honor 4X and this smart phone is certainly continuing the brilliant lineage it belongs to. Given the prices range in contrast to the features Honor 4x carries, let’s compare it competitor smart phone Galaxy A3 by Samsung. Both these smart phone support 4G LTE and Honor 4X is Dual-SIM and A3 carries a single SIM slot.

Structure & Design:
The exteriors of Honor 4x and Galaxy A3 are both quite attractive fairly, but the Honor 4X’s ergonomic design somewhat provides stronger grip when being used single handedly. Whereas the premium metal design of A3 makes it slightly more desirable than Honor 4X. The rear camera and flash light in Honor 4x are adjacent to each other in the top left corner whereas in A3 the camera is in between the flashlight and the speakers. On the front bottom just below its full touch screen, Galaxy A3 has a button which drives back to Home screen where as in Honor 4X capacitive soft keys (Home, Menu and Back) provide more functionality. Honor 4X carries the Power on/off key and the volume keys on its right side, whereas A3 has the power key on the right and the volume keys on the left panel.

Display Screen:
The display screens of smart phones play an important role in their sales because the bigger the better, here Honor 4X takes the lead by carrying a bigger screen then A3 has. Honor 4X has 5.5 inches large HD display screen with 267 PPI and 16 million colors, whereas the A3 has a 4.5 inches qHD super Amoled screen with 245 PPI. Given the price range both these smart phones has aptly manufactured by their companies to exhibit vibrant and colorful display. But certainly Huawei takes the edge because of its affordability and numerous other striking features.

OS & Processor:
The brains of smart phones are their processors and their efficacy ensures the super performance of the device.  Huawei’s Honor 4X encases 1.2 GHz Octa Core processor with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop whereas the A3 has 1.2 GHz quad core processor with the previous version Android 4.4 KitKat. Now, it is quite obvious that which of these two smart phones is capable of given ultra smooth performance. It would be Huawei’s Honor 4X most certainly because of more efficient processor and modern Android OS with Huawei’s fine EMUI 3.0 management system.

Storage:
Honor 4X carries 2GB RAM and 8GB ROM and its memory is expandable up to 32 GB whereas Galaxy A3 has 1.5GB RAM and 16 GB ROM, memory expandable up to 64 GB. Well, here A3 takes the lead from Honor 4X with respect to the data storage capacity, but whereas the temporary memory is concerned Honor 4X has a bigger RAM than A3  which means that it would be able to deliver a better online streaming experience.

Camera:
Honor 4X has a super high quality primary camera in comparison to Galaxy A3. The front camera of both these smart phones is of 5MP but the primary camera of Honor 4X is 13 MPwhereas that of A3 is 8MP. With the outclass camera features that are available with Honor 4X’s camera such as ultra snap shot, off screen photo mode and numerous other plus its ability to capture pictures in 0.6s, it certainly is a tempting feature.

Battery:
Talking about the power house, the battery of smart phones, Honor 4X has a super heavy battery in comparison to A3. The battery power of Honor 4X is 3000mAh, and that of Galaxy A3 is 1900mAh. It is totally apparent from the aforementioned feature that Huawei’s Honor 4X is a lot more capable than A3 to give long lasting fun filled experience. No matter, how long and work loaded day the user would have, Honor 4X would be available all the time without the constant nagging for recharge.

Pricing:

Finally, let’s compare the prices at which these smart phone devices are available. Huawei has launched Honor 4X for Rs. 25,800/- only, whereas Samsung Galaxy A3 is available for Rs. 29,999/-. Not too big, but still the given price difference means a lot when it comes to the features these smart phones are offering.
